The history of Gräwe & Partner begins in 1977. However, the basis for the present-day partnership company and that of its affiliated companies was created considerably earlier by Mr. Günter Gräwe.

After beginning his technical and business studies as the scholarship holder of a German business foundation at the Braunschweig University of Technology and the University of Hamburg, in 1962 he completed his degree in Business Management focussing on the areas of auditing/taxes.

In the period from 1962 to 1968 Mr. Günter Gräwe passed his examinations as an assistant in taxation matters, tax agent, tax advisor. and certified auditor.

The self-employed work he had already begun in 1962 was the basis for founding the firm Gräwe & Partner, which he established and expanded with his partners starting in 1977.

Step-by-step Mr Gräwe has gradually withdrawn from day-to-day operations since 2002 and the responsibility for his clients has been transferred to his partner colleagues.

From the contacts and experience of our founder the firm is also benefiting after his retirement.

Mr. Günter Gräwe's dedication to the profession has always extended far beyond the work in his own company. Among other things, for several decades he worked in the Admission Committee for tax consultants in Bremen.
